About Judge Megan Goldish
Hearing Circuit Court of Cook County Cases
Active with the Circuit Court of Cook County since 2014, Judge Megan Goldish presides over cases within the Domestic Violence Court. Her responsibilities include preparation for trial through a review of confidential motions and records, and she researches and drafts orders. Among the matters Judge Megan Goldish hears are those related to civil, criminal, felony, and misdemeanor cases, and she manages a high-volume caseload.
Ms. Goldish earned her BA in Libreal Arts the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, magna cum laude. She has also been a student of languages, studying Spanish, French, Italian, and Hebrew. She completed a law degree at Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law and was active with the Student Bar Association, serving as the group’s liaison with the Alumni Association and the Women’s Bar Association. A moot court semi-finalist, she also helped organize competitions as a Moot Court Committee member. An adjunct instructor with the law school for the past decade, she conducts applicant interviews as part of the admissions process.
Ms. Goldish maintains a strong community profile that has included serving on the executive and advisory boards of the Simon Wiesenthal Center. The social and educational programs she helped launch and oversee target social issues such as intolerance, anti-Semitism, and racism. In 2021, her efforts were acknowledged with the Advocate for Diversity Award from the Diversity Scholarship Foundation.
